Public transit agencies are the backbone of transportation and mobility in our modern society and they require constantly modernizing technology to keep up with the demands of the public, the constraints of their budgets, and their future ridership goals. Our work with transit agencies, both state and local, providers them with the support and upgrades they need to keep up with the moving world around us.
Supporting state and local transit agencies across the DMV (D.C. - Maryland - Virginia) metropolitan area and beyond, Genesys Impact has carried out work resulting in:
Heightened Visibility
We deployed Avigilon, a sophisticated, end-to-end camera surveillance system, across the public rail network’s stations across Northern Virginia. This has allowed the public transit agency’s administrators to have increased visibility of their facilities, allowing for smoother operations, increased safety, and easier maintenance.
Modernized Servers
Complimenting our deployment of the Avigilon camera systems across rail stations is the upgrade of the agencies servers to handle the new, large amounts of data they will be capturing and storing. By deploying NVR servers, spread across stations in Northern Virginia, the transit agency has increased its data capacity and increased the security of the data itself.
Upgraded Safety
Our deployments haven’t just made operations smoother and predictive maintenance easier, they have made transit stations safer, for both passengers and transit agency employees. Heightened safety is fundamental for increasing passenger retention and maximizing ridership.
